We are a video production company based in New Jersey, specializing in creating various kinds of videos in the Tristate Area and beyond. Our name, Shinzou, which translates to “New Creation” in Japanese, reflects our commitment to producing unique and innovative content with each project we undertake.

Jon - Director/Cinematographer

I was born in Staten Island, New York, raised by two amazing parents. I’ve always had a passion for creating something when I was younger but never knew what that “something” was. Inventing something? Music? Animation?

Then one day, I saw the film “Inception”. I was in awe at how they made the film and what went into it. And then I tried making a video. It kept my attention. Everything about it excited me. It fulfilled that creative part in me and gave me a sense of purpose. So I pursued it and have kept with it ever since, learning everything I could from books, people, and videos along the way. So after I moved back to New York from Texas, I went full steam ahead. I got a job at a production company in Manhattan, started writing scripts weekly, got work on set, my first DSLR, and continued to grow and evolve.

So here I am, over ten years later, and still loving what I do.

David - Producer/Actor

Hey I'm David. I'm a huge Brooklyn Nets fan but when I'm not losing my voice watching games, I do acting. I was born in New York and moved to Texas at 13. There I went to high school and graduated from the University of North Texas majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Now I make sure the shoots go according to schedule to get us in and out efficiently and do some editing too. I'm excited to get to work with you!

Joseffa - Editor/Actress

Hi! I'm Joseffa (pronounce that as Yo! Sepha). Besides editing videos, I'm an actor, model, and potato enthusiast (potatopia is arguably the best restaurant). I was born and raised in the Netherlands and moved to Texas at 17. There, I studied Radio Television and Film. Nowadays you'll find me behind a laptop editing video. I've edited video for 7 years; commercials, short films, social media videos etc. I love to puzzle stories together and I'd love to edit yours!
